Focus turns to trimming out the bookcase. The top and bottom are trimmed out with 1x4 red oak.

I then installed fluted 1x3 upright stiles, and installed decorative crown details.

A close-up of the trim work. This will be stained to match the color of the boxes.

Next, the baseboard moulding is cut and installed to trim out the new left-hand wall.

A laser line help insure a level install.

The wide stock is topped with the decorative cap moulding to complete the baseboard.

Installing the baseboard moulding really made me feel like the project was coming together.

The right-hand baseboards will be installed later.
