Work begins on the new tile floor. First, the layout is determined, and chalk lines are snapped as
reference guides. This takes some attention, so you don't end up with too narrow a tile on any wall.

The metal rug cleat is removed and replaced with marble. The carpet will be replaced on a later project.

The border tile is installed along the tub as an accent.

I ran the borde as a stripe along the wall, turning it in front of the cabinets.

The tiling is half-done.

The two accent stripes.

Afternoon sun reflects in the brushed metal tiles.

Close-up of the tile in front of the vanity. Grout will follow in a couple of days.

The tiling is complete, with spacers holding the grout lines straight while the adhesive sets.
